SanDisk SecureAccess v3.02 is a fast, simple way to store and protect critical and sensitive files on SanDisk USB flash drives.
Access to your private vault is protected by a personal password, and your files are automatically encrypted - so even if you share your SanDisk® USB flash drive or it becomes lost or stolen, access to your files are safe.
NOTE: SecureAccess is not required to use your flash drive as a storage device on Mac or PC. SecureAccess is a complimentary data encryption and password protection application.

Critical:
- The SanDisk SecureAcces Encryption program is a 128-bit AES encryption.
- If the password is forgotten, the information stored on the flash drive cannot be retrieved.
- There is no 'forgot password' option to reset the password.
- If the password cannot be remembered, with or without the password hint available, the files on the drive are not accessible.
- SanDisk Customer Care cannot provide a new password or alternative method to access encrypted data.
- The drive can still be used by reformatting and reinstalling SecureAccess.
- Formatting the drive will erase all data on the drive. Once the process begins, ALL THE DATA ON THE DRIVE WILL BE LOST!

SecureAccess 3.0 is a fully redesigned password protection and data encryption application which uses a new encryption engine. There is no direct upgrade installation available. You will need to migrate to the new SecureAccess V3 by performing the following steps:

  1. Launch SecureAccess V2 and copy all the data from the Vault to your computer hard drive or another flash drive.
  2. Delete the SecureAccess V2 Vault and Application files.
  3. Install SecureAccess V3 and create a new Vault
  4. Copy all your data back into the new Vault

NOTE: The data can be securely erased from the computer when adding files to SecureAccess 3.0 if you choose.
STEP 1 - Copy the data from SecureAccess 2.0 to your computer
1. Open SecureAccess 2.0 highlight the files you would like to copy to the computer, right-click the files and select Save file(s) to.

STEP 2 - Delete the SecureAccess Vault and Application Files
1. Delete SanDiskSecureAccess Vault and SanDiskSecureAccessV2_win.exe

STEP 3 - Download and install SecureAccess 3.0

Step 4 - Open SecureAccess 3.0 and import the data you would like to encrypt
1. Click the Add files button.

2. Select the files you would like to encrypt and click Encrypt.


3. You will see a message asking if you would like to completely remove the files from your computer. Choose Yes if you would like to securely erase the files or No if you would like the files to remain on the computer.


4. If you chose Yes a confirmation window will appear asking you to confirm if you want to permanently delete the files form your computer.

5. The files are now encrypted using SecureAccess 3.0.


The following 3 files will now be stored on your SanDisk device.
SanDiskSecureAccessV3_win, SanDiskSecureAccess Vault and SanDiskSecureAccess Settings
Double click SanDiskSecureAccessV3_win to launch SecureAccess 3.0
SanDiskSecureAccessVault is where the encrypted database files are stored. DO NOT delete this file. Deleting this file will result in the loss of any data stored inside SecureAccess 3.0. Also, do not delete SanDiskSecureAccess Settings.

You have now migrated from SecureAccess 2.0 to SecureAccess 3.0
